22nd International Radar Conference

Raymetrics participated at ILRC22 which took place in Matera City, Basilica of Italy on July 12-16 2004. The International Laser Radar Conference traditionally is the conference where scientists from all over the world working in the field of laser remote sensing applied to atmosphere, earth, and oceans meet together over the years. This Conference was held biennially under the auspices of the International Coordination-group for Laser Atmospheric Studies (ICLAS), of the International Radiation Commission, International Association of Meteorology and Atmospheric Physics. The majority of participants visited Raymetrics stand where an LB20 Lidar system was be on exhibition. The amount of positive comments and the majority of participants speak favorably of the system.

RAYMETRICS AT IAMAS 2005

Raymetrics participated at IAMAS 2005 which took place at Beijing between 2 and 11 of August 2005. Mr. Georgoussis, project manager of Raymetrics, had an oral presentation entitled as "Application of an Advanced Mobile Lidar System for Meteorological Studies and Atmospheric Research". Moreover, conference participants had the opportunity to visit raymetrics booth at exhibition area between 9 and 11 of August, and to learn more about raymetrics solution in the field of Laser Remote Sensing.

New Installation in Beijing
At 5/2006 a new Raymetrics Lidar System was installed at Beijing in China. Raymetrics and the China Forestry Research Network Information Center had signed a contract for a LB10-D200 lidar system. Scientists of the research center are going to use the lidar system mainly for monitoring dust to dust storms. But also is going to be used to monitor air pollution over Beijing. Due to its small size and portability is going also to be used for several field campaigns.
Now the instrument is up and running. It was also used to monitor a severe dust storm event which took place at 16th of April at 2006.
