Installation of a Scanning Eye - Safe Lidar at INOE - Romania
A new scanning Eye- Safe Backscatter Lidar System (LB-ESS 11–U–D200) was successfully installed and being normally operated in Romania at National Institute of Research and Development for Opto-electronics (INOE) near Magurele, since December 2007. It performs unique capabilities of positioning, scanning and continuously monitoring of aerosols in 3 dimensions. System is equipped with a 200mm telescope increasing dramatically system performance. A 2AP from Kipp & Zonen is used as the main scanning mechanism. System can be install outdoor permanently or can be used as a portable system.
